At the moment, revisiting a discussion means you have to rely on remembering where you left off. However, some of the other web-forum software around keeps track for you of which messages you've read and which you haven't. Would this be a good thing for Scoop?

The reason I ask is because I help run a forum over on EZBoard called IWETHEY (it's an IT forum, BTW). Now EZBoard is quite a differnt type of interactive software than Scoop: Scoop is a weblog while EZBoard is more akin to the old BBS echos.
However, it does manage which messages you've read for you. For various complicated reason, I think this would be a good addition to Scoop, even though it would mean Scoop would need to become more of a "forward-only" interface. Not being a Perl hacker myself, I can only present the idea. So whaddaya say?
