Making Scoop sites more democratic and self-regulating

I would love to have a way of automating the regulation of the site so that admins are not needed at all. If a user thinks a comment or user account should be deleted, he/she would nominate it into a queue, where others could see it and vote. If the thresholds are set high enough, and everyone does their part to participate, hopefully this feature would not be abused, plus it would eliminate the potential for admins abusing their authority.

use the comment rating system? It's fairly flexible and you could adjust the site controls to get the same affect. You can adjust the labels on the ratings options so that they don't show any numbers just, for example, "Delete" (which would be a 0 rating), "Abstain" (which would be a 1) and and "Don't delete" (which would be a 2) or some such, then remove the numerical rating from the comment's header so that no one needs to know how other people are rating it.

You could also make a page (or box) that shows all comments that have been giving a 0 rating and call it a queue.

I don't remember if it was a serious or a troll comment, but I've read that k5 largely runs itself.

Actually I like the idea but would like to see who is deleting what so known prejudices can be taken into consideration. If x doesn't like z and it is well known, then folks would like to know that x is the one that deleted z's comments.

The logical next step is metaratings, where users rate the quality of each other's ratings, and so the weightings of the ratings would vary accordingly; but wait! What about the metaratings? Don't we need to rate those, too?

So the weightings of the ratings of the ratings of the ratings...

More colors must be added in it because it feels better if you have good design. Search for superior writing paper is not so easy because if you go through different websites there is no one offering higher discount rate.
