Scoop on Mac OS X? Developer Diary

I'm interested, as an excercise, in getting Scoop running on my Powerbook running Mac OS X.

I have MySQL installed:

Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.16, for apple-darwin6.6 (powerpc)

I have apache installed (version that comes with Panther):

Server version: Apache/1.3.28 (Darwin)
Server built:   Sep 12 2003 17:00:23

I also have Fink installed.

I understand that I need mod_perl incorporated into apache.  Can I do that with the version I already have installed, or do I need to compile it into a new version?

And, of course, if someone can point me to a FAQ specific to doing this on OS X, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

There are some notes on using Scoop with OS X (Panther) in the Scoop Admin Guide.

Please do let me know if there is anything missing from that section, as I've only ever installed Scoop on Linux.
