Pounding on Scoop.

Once in awhile sites I maintain have been "slashdotted" and I've always tried to build sites with an eye to that happening. On most sites I usually code things in perl, then re-write them in C so I can survive something ugly.

This also applies to anything using mysql particularly. Now, my question is related to this issue.. Has anyone really pounded on scoop (I realize that hardware issues make this subjective) and what did they think? Please share your experiences.. I'm very interested in hearing how large (large databases) scoop sites have done..

Even if it's just ./ab testing.. :)

Thanks Len
