Scoop on Apache 2? Feature Requests

Hi folks,

I've been wanting to play with scoop for a while, and I decided to go for it. One niggle though: I run Apache 2.x everywhere. Is it possible to install scoop on a Apache 2 webserver? And, if yes, how?

I know there is one problem with getting scoop with Apache 2. mod_perl. mod_perl version 1 will not work on apache 2. So, one would need mod_perl2. Scoop wants mod_perl v1. I know there is a mod_perl 1 compatibility layer in version 2, but as the website admits: It's hellishly slow.

So, what to do? Is it even _possible_ to run Scoop on an Apache 2 server?

Not right now (none / 0) (#1)

I haven't tried it within a couple months, but I'm fairly certain that it's still not possible, because mod_perl2 still has a way to go before it's to the same point as mod_perl1. One of the main problems I experienced when I last tried it was that Apache::Request hasn't been ported to apache2 yet, and I'm fairly sure that it still hasn't.

I'll try and check it out again sometime soon, but I'd say that it's still not possible.
