Radio Free Tomorrow Announcements

I'm pleased to announce that Radio Free Tomorrow, a Scoop site dedicated to science fiction and fantasy of any era, in any medium, is now open for business.

Why do an SF&F weblog?

Believe it or not, nostalgia. I remember the days when USENET was actually a useful medium for rambling on for hours and hours about SF&F topics. That was back before the days of spam. Of course, even before the days of spam, lack of moderation, ratings, or any of the other things that a Scoop site provides mean that there were a lot of irrelevancies.

Hence, RFT, my attempt to solve the problem by providing a place for discussions both serious and frivolous, but without the irritation of spam and with hopefully a minimum of flamage.

The site is still in its infancy, and your suggestions are greatly welcome. Even if the topic doesn't interest you, if you yourself have run a Scoop site, or any similar weblog site, I would welcome the feedback (via the 'Suggestion Box' article on the site) about site design and how the site could be made more useful.

I hope to see you there!

tried to post... (4.00 / 1) (#1)

I tried to post (as anonymous, I'll probably get an account later) some feedback on the site design, but it told me the form key was invalid. Anyhow, check your font sizes. They're fine on the front page, but on the displaystory pages they're way too small. The blue-on-black colour scheme doesn't bother me too much with the larger font, but the small displaystory font I can't read at all. It looks nice, but it's hard to read.
