Vote for polls?

How about a feature where users can submit poll ideas for the frontpage. And then vote on them.

Someone would submit a poll. And it would go into the mod que just like stories. It would have 3 options. Post, Don't care, and Dump. The only thing that needs a bit more thought is the fact that there is only one poll at a time, and they change after a set period. You might end up with a ever growing que of polls. And I'm not sure if there is a simple way around that.
