Is there a way to accept file uploads through the CGI interface in Scoop? I can get it to work through an external script that is called from a Box on a page, plugging the user's nickname into the form, but I would like to put the upload code into a Box on the page and then just parse the CGI input, so I can use the Scoop user database to make sure the uploader is who they really are.

Can Scoop's CGI interface handle file uploads? If it can, could someone help me come up with a bit of Box code to do this? Or perhaps access the Scoop DB to get session information on a user so I can do the verification from the form itself, tying into the Scoop DB as necessary? Any other help on this would be most appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Apache::Request (5.00 / 1) (#1)

Scoop uses Apache::Request for all that fun CGI-related stuff, and Apache::Request supports file uploads. So, as long as you're using a new enough version of scoop (as in, not a year old), then you can get the Apache::Request object through $S->{APR}. 'perldoc Apache::Request' for what methods are available through this object. Just note that by the time you can do validation, the uploads will have already been parsed and spooled to disk.
