School, Scoop, and time...

Ok, its the start of a new year and new school quarter (for me at least) so I figured I would write a Dev Note explaining what I intend to do this quarter, in school and scoop. So that people would know why I havn't committed anything lately, or why one thing gets done before another :-)

Ok, I have 13 units this quarter (yeah yeah not many, don't give me shit :P Mostly so that I can have time to keep my GPA up and still work on scoop etc.) So thats the majority of my time. When I finally have time to work on scoop, this is what I would like to do (In some semblance of order)
- Split the poll display into |STORY| and |CONTENT|
This is something I promised mahonri I'd do a while ago, but I havn't been able to get to it yet, because of not enough time.
- Add Mystic's (and other peoples, I'll browse the code section and dev notes to find them) patches to cvs. This is another thing I said I would do, that I haven't gotten to yet.
- Break Polls.pm into Polls.pm and a Polls/ subdirectory, similar to the way Comments* is ordered.
- (Someday...) Rework the vars interface. make it much simpler with checkboxes, pulldown menu's, etc.
So thats what I've been planning, if anyone is interested :-) All of this will be done when I get time, as school is my first priority (gotta keep above a 3.5 GPA to not have to take the GRE for the masters program here). |
