Qualitative Results Improvement Feature Requests

What I propose is an improvement in the sort of negative data an author recieves regarding a submission.

To be brief, currently the voting choices are +1, front page/section only, 0 don't care and -1, dump it. The problem with this is that, while the author knows the number of people who voted to dump the story, one can only guess as to why.

For example, let's say 100 people vote to dump a story, and 5 write deathless prose as to why they voted down the story. That still leave 95 people unaccounted for. Going by what 5 people say isn't even an educated guess.

So what I propose are extra -1 settings to give better feedback to an author. What follows are just examples.

-1, Grammatical/Spelling Errors
-1, Overworked Subject
-1, Flamebait
-1, REALLY Don't Care
-1, Writing Style Unclear

I envisioned it as a broad poll (3.00 / 1) (#1)
by cp on Mon Jan 15, 2001 at 03:20:20 AM PST

See my submission some three hours after yours (quel coincidence...). It'd be nice to know why people are voting +1 as well as -1, and I have some personal theories as to how giving people vindictive choices during the voting process itself makes them more likely to vote negatively.

My ideal system would bifurcate the voting process. In the first screen, the voter would choose +1, -1, and 0. In the next screen, the voter would answer a broad poll about why he or she voted as such. Only after the second screen would the vote be counted (making the poll effectively mandatory). The resulting poll would then be visible to other voters and anyone who cares enough to view editorial comments after the submission is accepted.

As I would offer, if you are doing some grammatical mistakes, you should improve yourself. For example make my essay offers to go through some video classes.

I'm sure you could find this site - https://paperovernight.com/ very helpful if you decide to write a story or essay about this.
